Navigating Moments invites visitors to reflect on the word “home.” For each person, “home” brings up unique memories and feelings. Margolin shares stories of living in Ukraine, Israel and the United States of America. Layered in yarn, thread, and acrylic paint, Margolin's work explores the themes of connection, separation, and resilience. Each piece reflects these ideas in different ways, offering the viewer a new perspective of displacement and changes in home.

The artwork “Home is Where…” depicts two house-like shapes merging, with a faint woman’s face appearing in the background. This piece explores both the physical and emotional meanings of "home." Through muted sepia tones, simple lines, and linear shapes, the piece evokes a sense of memory and nostalgia, while reflecting the emotional and physical dimensions of home. The woman's face is barely visible, fading behind the houses, suggesting that home is not just about the physical structure, but also about the people and memories tied to it. The artwork reminds us that "home" is made up of many layers and can take many forms.

Each work provides a story that is deeply personal to Margolin, yet also an invitation to think about one’s own life paths and the traces of oneself that are inevitably left behind. Margolin encourages “a deeper connection of personal experiences, memories, and aspirations, to evoke questions about the paths we take, and the emotions tied to our individual journeys.” As you wander through Navigating Moments, ask yourself “what is home to me?”
