Aaron Kloss | Autumn Reflections

Depot Performing Arts Wing | Fall 2022

Aaron Kloss’ unique style captures scenes from nature: tree-lined hilltops, lake view vistas, bright cardinals, wildflowers, and more. He paints from memory using a small brush and vivid acrylics applied to a black canvas. Kloss elaborates, “Just as the light shines in the darkness, my work reveals the effects of light and darkness in the landscape, capturing the emotion of the memory while sharing a story.”

Aaron Kloss holds a BFA from University of Minnesota–Duluth and works in Duluth, Minnesota, where he lives with his wife and three children. Kloss paints from his sun-filled home studio with views of Lake Superior and backyard songbirds. His work is represented by galleries throughout the midwest and can be viewed at his website, aaronkloss.com.
