Combine painting, drawing, collage, and fiber materials to create your own narrative "quilt square" depicting memories, dreams, or fictional stories. Combining acrylic paint and traditional quilt techniques, Ringgold creates political, and sometimes dream-like autobiographical, narrative scenes. Bring ideas and potentially source materials to help in this creative process.
“When they're looking at my work, they're looking at a painting and they're able to accept it better because it is also a quilt.” - Faith Ringgold
