Impressions of Stone: Re-casting Duluth

Friday May 17 6-9pm and Saturday May 18 noon-3pm (2 sessions)

$25 members ($30 non-members)

Duluth artist, Kristina Estell preserves local ancient rock formations through mold making and casting. Participants are invited to create their own plaster replica of Duluth’s foundations while learning about her process. Workshop includes demonstrations of mold preparation and patina application, and practice of mixing materials, casting and demolding forms.

This workshop is made possible by a 2018 Minnesota State arts board artist initiative grant.
