Explore your own embodiment of the Sacred Feminine through the processes and artistic practices of artist Sarah Brokke. Through demonstrations and experimentation, examine personal identity through painting. Some experience handling paint preferred but not required.
Sarah Brokke is a fiscal year 2018 recipient of an Artist Initiative grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature; and by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and in-kind donations from the Duluth Art Institute.
Required Supplies: sketchbook, oil pastels, graphite pencils, a black permanent marker, paint (oil or acrylic or both). A 16" x 20" canvas or canvas board. A yoga mat. Comfortable clothing.
