Printmaking: Etching with Patricia Canelake
Thursday Sept. 26th 5:30-8:30 at DAI Lincoln Park Building $40 member, $50 non member
Explore Printmaking, create an Etching. Learn to use a scribe tool to scratch into a plexiglass plate. You will learn contour drawing and etching skills, Multiple prints will be made from the plate. You will use an etching printing press to create a numbered series of four prints. Artists will work with animal subject matter to create their art.
Hybrid Printmaking with Darren Houser
Tuesdays, July 30th through August 27th , 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. (5 sessions) $125 member, $140 non-member *all materials are included
Create complex and layered imagery using a combination of printmaking techniques including dry point intaglio, monoprint and collagraph. Respond and work with each process to design a wide variety of visual marks prior to fusing the techniques, producing hybrid prints of your own.
