Develop and expand your clay hand-building skills to explore figurative, animal, decorative, architechtural, functional and other applications in clay relevant to your interests. We will review basic hand-building techniques: coil, pinch and slab building the first class session. Students are encouraged to come with ideas/projects to begin working on. Under the guidance of the instructor, students will learn to anticipate structural issues, technical challenges, and how to plan to achieve their vision. The focus will be on using low-fire clay and the application of various glaze material.
